Danube S3 Cluster - First milestone of Danube S3 Cluster reached

25-03-2020

At the beginning of March, Steinbeis 2i GmbH finished the Transnational Analysis of Danube Regional Context and Cluster Innovation Potential. This document takes stock of different activities carried out in the first half of the project and represents the first project milestone of Danube S3 Cluster. It synthesizes the findings of 11 regional analyses on cluster innovation potential and of the 205 innovation audits conducted by the project partners. The objective of the transnational analysis was to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and potential of agro-food clusters in the Danube region and lay the ground for a transnational cluster strategy which will be published later this year. The transnational analysis identified five intervention areas:

  • mapping and visibility
  • internationalization and cooperation
  • cluster policy and supporting schemes
  • monitoring benchmarking and accreditation
  • cluster management support programmes.

For each intervention area, Danube S3 Cluster developed preliminary recommendations. These recommendations were and will be discussed during two policy learning dialogue workshops: in Sárvár (20-21 January 2020) and in Bratislava (June 2020).

The results of this analysis and of the upcoming strategy shall contribute to the preparation and definition of the next programming period (2021 – 2027).

The transnational analysis is published on the project’s website and is availlable at: http://dtp.interreg-danube.eu/media/download/38648
